概要

このプロジェクトのゴールは、OpenDocument Format (ODF)ファイルを開いたり保存したりするマイクロソフトword XP/2003/2007のアドインを提供することである。

コンバーターは、二つのXMLフォーマット間のXSL変換に基づいて作成されている。これに、次のような事前(pre-)および事後(post-)処理が付属する形になっている。パッケージの管理（zip/ unzip) スキーマ非互換の処理、マイクロソフトWordへの統合といったものだ。我々は、オープンソース開発モデルを取り、世界中の開発者がプロジェクトに参加し、貢献できるようにした。

マイクロソフトWordのアドインであるが、バッチ変換ができるようコマンドラインの変換ツールも提供する。この変換ツールはまた、サーバサイドで動作させることもできる。
